Movies for Android v1.0.1 released

Movies icon

It took us quite some effort, but we finally managed it: Movies for Android is released and available for download on the Android Marketplace.

As we had lots of people asking for Movies for Android, we started working on the initial version last year in August. Since we wanted the Android version to look and feel as any other Android app (and not as an iPhone clone to Android) we spent months on making the app pixel-perfect.

And now, over 6 months after the initial development, the first version of Movies for Android is out. And we love it. So if you own an Android device, and you want to have your movie collection with you at all times, you should grab a copy of Movies for Android now. Really!

We’re already hard at work adding the next bunch of features but I’ll tell you more about those shortly. In the meantime, if you haven’t already grabbed a copy then why not give it a try?

Movielicious - our Mac movie catalog

Many of you asked for a desktop movie catalog app which plays along with Movies and Movies HD - and here we are: Movielicious 1.0 is submitted to the Mac App Store.

We took the same approach for making Movielicious as we did for making Movies and Movies HD. Making a simple, yet gorgeous looking app to manage your movie collection. Add new movies by typing in (part of) the title and all movie details are looked up using our online movie catalog. Easily manage movie genres, media type and more

Movielicious reads in Movies and Movies HD backups and manages them seamlessly. You can make backups and merge them back into your iPhone and iPad apps - all without any hassle. Movielicious works perfect standalone, and even better with Movies and Movies HD for iPhone and iPad.

Movies meets Movies HD

It's been a while, but we're working on a major update of Movies and Movies HD. The user interface of Movies is completely reworked, and both Movies and Movies HD will become universal (which means they will run on both iPhone/iPodTouch and iPad)!

We've been working really hard on adding new features to both Movies and Movies HD, and one of the most requested features was live syncing between Movies and it's iPad-brother Movies HD. With the universal app, we've finally added this! We've also added dozens of smaller enhancements and improvements to make your movie catalog even more pleasant to use.

As Music HD is almost ready for the App Store - we want to showcase it already by giving you a sneak preview!

Music HD is - like Movies HD - a catalog app with stunning graphics and superb functionality. It allows to create a gorgeous looking music catalog by adding albums by searching by title or barcode. Music HD automatically fetches all album information and stores it into its database. Music HD allows to lend albums to friends, so you can keep track of which friend has which album of you.

Music HD has the option to add music to your wish list and easily transfer albums from wish to own once you bought them. Wish list albums can be previewed within the app (30 second previews), while owned albums can be played within the app (if the music is available in your iPad library).

Music HD is planned to be submitted to the App Store on October 1st. So stay tuned for more release information!
