It took us quite some effort, but we finally managed it: Movies for Android is released and available for download on the Android Marketplace.
As we had lots of people asking for Movies for Android, we started working on the initial version last year in August. Since we wanted the Android version to look and feel as any other Android app (and not as an iPhone clone to Android) we spent months on making the app pixel-perfect.
Movies for Android
And now, over 6 months after the initial development, the first version of Movies for Android is out. And we love it. So if you own an Android device, and you want to have your movie collection with you at all times, you should grab a copy of Movies for Android now. Really!

The backup and restore procedure of Movies, Musica and Book Keeper uses iTunes File Sharing (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4094)
Backup
- In Movies (Book Keeper or Musica), go to [Settings], [Data] and tap [Backup].
- Once the backup is available, connect your iPhone/iPod to your computer, and start iTunes
- In iTunes, tap on the iPhone/iPod icon (under Devices), go to [Apps] and scroll down to [File Sharing]
- Tap on Movies (Book Keeper or Musica), and on the right hand side you see a file named backup.zip.
- Save this file to your computer, and keep it save.
Restore
- Connect your iPhone/iPod to your computer, and start iTunes
- In iTunes, tap on the iPhone/iPod icon (under Devices), go to [Apps] and scroll down to [File Sharing]
- Tap on Movies (Book Keeper or Musica), select the [Add] button and upload the backup.zip you saved during the restore procedure.
- iTunes will now sync the file to Movies (Book Keeper or Musica).
- Once this process is done, start the Movies (Book Keeper or Musica) app, go to [Settings], [Data] and tap [Restore].
- You might want to clear your library prior to restoring, in order to make sure no duplicate movies (books or albums) are created

It's been a while, but we're working on a major update of Movies and Movies HD. The user interface of Movies is completely reworked, and both Movies and Movies HD will become universal (which means they will run on both iPhone/iPodTouch and iPad)!
We've been working really hard on adding new features to both Movies and Movies HD, and one of the most requested features was live syncing between Movies and it's iPad-brother Movies HD. With the universal app, we've finally added this! We've also added dozens of smaller enhancements and improvements to make your movie catalog even more pleasant to use.
Movies 3
We expect the update to go live by the end of December, as a Christmas present to all you out there!
Stay tuned!

Just like it's big brother Movies HD, Movies now supports trailer watching for all your movies!
We had some issues submitting the latest version of Movies to Apple - as Apple decided to not allow apps which use the pre-iOS4 functions for barcode scanning, but now our barcode engine is updated to support iOS4 and we're ready to roll.
Movies trailer support
Of course, we have worked hard on this update - and even though it's not packed with new features, it does contain some smaller tweaks and visual enhancements which will make your browsing experience even better!
Next on our release list are Movies HD 1.6 and Movies 2.3 which will support live syncing as well as some other major improvements.

Month after month, Netwalk continues to deliver new features to Movies - our flagship app: mark your movies as seen (or not seen) and easily filter on this field. One small step for man, a big step for mankind.
Together with this option, we introduced the possibility to refetch all movie details - in case you imported from a backup with limited information from a 3rd party movie application.
Movies 2.2 promo
We're also working very hard on "LiveSync", the option which will allow Movies HD to synchronize its data live with Movies without needing your Mac or PC! We plan to deliver this feature by the end of May, so stay tuned for the future updates.
If you'd have suggestions for Movies (or Movies HD), you're welcome to share them with us (either on our forum, as a comment on this post, or by using our contact page)!

As the iPad becomes available in the US within less then a week, it's time we introduce our latest creation: Movies HD.
Just like our iPhone app Movies, Movies HD is a movie catalog application which allows to quickly catalog your complete movie collection. It allows to import from various popular desktop apps (like Delicious Library, Collectorz Movie Collector, Ant Movie Collection, Movie Label 2011, ...) or allows to create your library on-the-fly (using various data sources which allow to enter movies by barcode number or movie title).

Movies HD shows your movie collection in a graphically stunning way, giving you the ultimate iPad experience!

As the iPad is about to be released within a month, we are working very hard on 2 iPad apps which we plan to release just before the iPad launch.
One of them is Movies - our flagship app which is already available on the iPhone. As the iPad offers a whoppy 1024 by 768 pixels screen, this allows us to add lots of detail into the already gorgeous screens of the Movies app. Below you'll some screenshots of the early development stage of "Movies for iPad".
